Life is bleak within the walled city of Sanctuary after
mankind has fallen. But there’s only so
much room there and it’s a case of “one in one out” when a new child is
born. The “one out” has to leave the
safety and go out to be sacrificed to the gods – the undead beings that wander
outside being the gods. But we know gods
don’t exist and what the undead really are.
In the post Kindle apocalypse, novellas seem to be coming to
the fore and this being a novella, it was the right length for this story. Shaun certainly knows how to put his varied
imagination on the page.
